Palma announces date and new location for big Christmas lights switch-on
Palma’s Parc de la Mar will host the city’s Christmas lights switch-on ceremony on 21 November. It will be the first time the waterfront park has been chosen as the setting for the official launch of the Christmas celebrations. Palma Town Hall spokesperson Mercedes Celeste said it would be "a ceremony with many surprises".
Until now, Parc de la Mar has not featured Christmas lighting, although Celeste did not reveal any further details about the ceremony. Last year, the switch-on was held in Plaza España, while Plaza de la Reina and the Born have also hosted the event ... [734 chars]
