Balearic estate agents’ association calls for the free housing market to be preserved

Government promises to examine viable EU measures on housing if they do not affect residents. There are 540,000 homes in the Balearics, of which 110,000 – 17 per cent – are vacant, a figure that rises to 57 per cent in Costitx and 38 per cent in Llubí and Sant Joan, and that there are 9,345 vacant homes in Palma, according to data from the National Statistics Institute
